Chris has over 28 years’ experience in leadership from first line supervision through strategic level planning and development in both public and military sectors. He began his career in the US Marine Corps and went on to serve as a patrol officer with the Casper Police Department, ending his 24 year career as Chief of Police.
Chris was deployed to many countries and worked with very diverse cultures. He was selected to develop, train, mentor and lead the first forty man Iraqi SWAT team in the Bayji District of the Saladin Province.
Over his career Chris has served in instruction and training, SRT, a multi-year undercover assignment, patrol and investigations. Chris has extensive experience in project management, controlling critical incidents, small unit missions and was a designated marksman.
He is a POST certified instructor. He has been involved with the response planning and training committee for the Governor’s task force, and the Governors School safety and security advisory committee.
Until his retirement, Chris was a member of the Executive Board for the Wyoming Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs and also a member of the State Traffic Safety Committee.
